Although I’m currently on leave, I am a graduate student studying Neurobiology & Behavior. I’ve worked in labs that specialize in retinal circuitry (my previous adviser cured color blindness in monkeys) and my current lab works on circadian rhythms. The photo above is me researching in the depths of the university library. Oh yeah, I have a BS in psychology, and yes, I am analyzing you right now.

I currently work in the medical department of a correctional facility. My job is to keep inmates alive and healthy. It’s a thankless job that is always exhilarating.

My family is originally from Spain, and yes, I have the Castilian lisp when I speak Spanish (which is usually when I’m drunk).

I’m a hardcore nature and science nerd. Although I go insane about anything neuro-related, I love all fields of science. I love watching documentaries, especially ones narrated by David Attenborough.

My sleep schedule is incredibly messed up. I have been diagnosed with hypernychthemeral syndrome. I typically go to bed two hours later than I did the day before which leads to me sleeping at different times throughout the year

The TV show Lost changed my life. Not only for the obvious reasons that it is an amazing show, but it helped my sister and I bond while my father was battling and eventually lost his fight with cancer.

I am an introvert. I don’t mind socializing with people, but it gets incredibly exhausting for me after a while. However, I do love to listen to people. I’m typically the person people go to when they’re having problems and they need a shoulder to lean on.

I LOVE sports. I love to both play and watch them. I watch all sports, and I play basketball, football, and soccer. I seriously can’t go a day without playing at least one of them. Also, my life would be empty without ESPN.

I run F Yeah English Bulldogs. I am slightly obsessed with this breed of dogs. I have a pit bull at home home, but when I get my own puppy, it will be an English Bulldog.

I worship everything that J.J. Abrams makes. The man truly understands how to create a mystery and how to handle it. He even has a TED talk discussing it.
